This large Icelandic banknote represents the 1st denomination of New Króna (Series 1981-86, Printed 1961). The observe features an illustration of Arngrímur Jónsson the Learned, known for introducing Europe to authentic Icelandic literature. The reverse depicts a man reading a book out loud in a home, an ornate sword can be seen in the foreground. (Note Size: 130 x 70 mm or 5.12 x 2.76 in)
