This post-WWII Japanese banknote represents the only denomination of the Yen (Emission, 1948). The observe features Count Itagaki Taisuke (1837-1919), founder of the Freedom and People's Rights Movement. The first political party and civil rights movement in Japan. Which lead the establishment of the Meiji Constitution and the National Diet. The reverse features the National Diet building, the center of Japanese Government.
