The “Southern Liberation" banknote series was a transitional currency, issued by the Viet Cong. While printed 1966, the series was not initially issued. Until the closing phase of the Vietnam War in 1973. The “Southern Liberation" was the de-facto currency of South Vietnam, until the merging of both North and South Vietnamese currencies in 1978.
